Established in 1985, Andover Trailers has grown to become the standard to which others aspire within specialist body and trailer manufacturing. We use our unrivalled experience to design products that meet our customer’s needs perfectly. That means understanding the role of your fleet to design and build a product which is tailor-made to deliver value to you both now and into the future. As a result, every plant body or trailer that leaves our factory is truly BETTER BY DESIGN.

    ENGINEERING DISTINCTION

about1We pride ourselves on our high standards of engineering and we only use the highest quality materials, sourced from trusted suppliers. We focus on achieving an unparalleled combination of strength, low weight and low height, together with maximum ease of operation, which is particularly important when loading and unloading heavy equipment. The result is a product range of exceptional quality and durability, which we’re proud to put our name on.

    STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS

The development of our latest generation forklift trailers led us to become a distributor for Trailer System Engineering (TSE), a German company which manufactures specialist components, from sliding roofs to full body kits for commercial vehicles and trailers.

    MANUFACTURING PROCESS

about3Before even the first piece of metal is cut, the engineering team design every aspect of the trailer or body, modelling in our 3D CAD system. Once they are satisfied with the design and options chosen, the manufacturing process begins. Our team of expert fabricators lay out the main modules of the trailer with the high-specification steels used cut to match the digital designs. The main modules are welded together, then the final seam welding is carried out before the finished frames go to be shotblasted, to give the cleanest finish and the best key for the 2-Pack paint system. All of this work is completed before fitment of any mechanical components, to prevent contamination and ensure maximum reliability. Once painted, the frames are fitted with axles and ramps as appropriate, before hydraulic and pneumatic systems and electrical wiring are installed. Flooring follows next, just before the functionality checks that are  part of the pre-delivery inspection each trailer goes through to ensure it meets our exacting quality standards.

    AFTERSALES EXCELLENCE

about4High-quality products offer better value for longer. We therefore place a huge focus on delivering the best possible aftersales support, whatever the age of your body or trailer. We maintain an extensive spare parts stock, and we’re experts when it comes to getting parts delivered to wherever they need to be as quickly as possible. We utilise a combination of our own mobile service fleet and carefully selected authorised repair agents to carry out mobile repairs quickly and safely. Plus, our service staff are factory trained and adept at working on Andover Trailers, Goldhofer and TSE equipment.
